Here are many of the words Pikachu understands and when to say certain words. Try to be kind to Pikachu and make sure you speak very clearly and not too fast, otherwise Pikachu won't understand a word you're saying. =) The words to say are in red. Oh, and sometimes Pikachu may not listen and has its attention on something else. You'll have to sound firm to get its attention. There are also some special terms used in certain stages like the Cobalt Coast stage, Ochre, and the Fishing Holes. Pikachu - Pikachu will give its attention to you and will listen to you.

play it - If Pikachu has a musical instrument in its hands like the Whistle Leaf, Trumpet, or Harmonica, tell Pikachu to play it and it may play it. If it doesn't and just throws it away, try again. Playing instruments makes Pikachu a little happier.

taste it - If Pikachu has food, certain flowers, or even balloons in its grasp, tell it to taste it.

eat it - Same as taste it.

quiz time - when you're in your room, tell Pikachu quiz time and it'll go over to the TV. Go to the TV and Pikachu will start up your N64 and TV to play PokeQuiz. You have to guess the name of the Pokemon.

throw it - Pikachu will throw anything it holds if you say throw it. When it has the beach ball, it will throw it to you automatically. Try throwing it back.

smell it - Some flowers have interesting scents. Tell Pikachu to smell it and it'll take a sniff. Some things smell horrible like the  onion, and it'll throw it and shock it. Pikachu thinks tulips smell bad.

Tag, you're it! - When Pikachu's in the mood, it'll play tag with you. Say the magic words and Pikachu will get the head start by using thunder. Catch Pikachu in 15 seconds and you win.

thunder shock - Pikachu will send out little sparks of electricity. If Pikachu is holding something like a rosebud, sweet potato, or even corn and uses thunder shock, the item will change. Electrifying some of the chests on Cobalt Island will also enable you to open the chest.

thunder bolt - Tell Pikachu thunder bolt and it'll use the attack on certain items you point to. This is useful if you need something from a tree like apples, peaches, and coconuts.

thunder - Pikachu uses this attack when you tell to. Normally, it's not useful unless you're opening chests on Cobalt Island. This attack uses a lot of Pikachu's electric energy.

dance - Sometimes this works and sometimes this doesn't. Pikachu will do a little dance for you. =3
