Here are all of the Pokemon you'll meet when you play Hey You, Pikachu!. Some of them you won't see at the beginning of the game, but as you progress you will meet them. The elusive Togepi is also found in this game, too! The Pokemons' names are in red, which means Pikachu knows their names.
Bulbasaur
Bulbasaur can be found making stew, soup, or stir-fry
meals in Ochre. This means he's the first Pokemon you'll meet
throughout the game. The first time you and Pikachu are sent on
an errand to shop, Bulbasaur will also be in Springleaf. He is
also found at Cobalt Coast.
Venusaur
Venusaur is the fully evolved form of Bulbasaur. You can
only find Venusaur watching you and Pikachu party on with other
Pokemon at Cobalt Coast. He is the king of the party.
Charmander
Sometimes Charmander will make a guest appearance at the
picnics in Ochre. In Springleaf of the Discovery Days level,
Charmander is also walking around on a high hill and once in a
while calls out to Pikachu. Like Bulbasaur, Charmander also joins
the party at Cobalt Coast.
Squirtle
Like Charmander, Squirtle will make guest appearances at
Ochre. Squirtle parties on Cobalt Coast, too. In Olivine of the
Play Days level, Squirtle waits for you and Pikachu to gather the
lost Poliwag so he can take them to the Poliwhirl. When you are
on your first errand, Squirtle also appears in Springleaf and
constantly stops Pikachu when he's near Abra's Shop, which is
pretty annoying and time-consuming.
Caterpie
The adorable little worm is left for you and Pikachu to
look after while its parent Butterfree is out. When Caterpie
turns blue or red, tell Pikachu that Caterpie is hungry and
Pikachu would go find a rosebud. There are a total of five
Caterpie in both Viridian stages at the Discovery and Daring Days
level.
Metapod
Metapod don't move at all. They can be seen at Viridian
in the Daring Days level. Some are attached to trees and evolve
into Butterfree. The Caterpie you take care of can evolve into
Metapod if they get really big.
Butterfree
Butterfree asks you and Pikachu to look over its young
Caterpie and Metapod. You can also find Butterfree hovering
around other stages like Springleaf, Cobalt, and Ochre, usually
dropping little boxes Pikachu can break open with electricity.
Butterfree also holds the pinata at Cobalt Coast.
Oddish
The oddish need to evolve, so Pikachu has to water them
using either the watering can or the watering jug. Each Oddish must be watered twice in order to
evolve into Gloom. There is an exception, though; in the Daring
Days level, there is a mysterious Oddish that for some reason
slowly grows bigger and bigger as you water it. When an Oddish
has only been watered once, it'll grow and then walk around.
Don't mistake strange radishes for Oddish!
Gloom
Like the Oddish, Gloom must be watered twice to evolve.
Imitating plants are the smelly radishes. Gloom will walk around
if they're only watered once.
Vile Plume
These Pokemon are found walking around Springleaf when
you get there. When there are five Vile Plumes walking around,
they'll all leave and their seedling Oddish will once again need
to be watered. The Vile Plume are never in the ground and they
can't be watered with all their moving.
Diglett
Diglett try to make Pikachu trip and stumble over them
whenever Pikachu's trying to haul water to an Oddish or Gloom.
When Diglett pop up out of the ground, tell Pikachu that there's
a Diglett in its way. When Pikachu notices it, the Diglett will
burrow underground again. They only appear when you're on an
errand and in Springleaf of the Daring Days level.
Poliwag
Sometimes Poliwag will make guest appearances in Ochre
to feast on something good. Other than that, there are usually
five lost Poliwag wandering around Olivine on both the Play and
Daring Days levels. Make sure that Poliwags don't wander off
after you find them! When you're fishing in Olivine, you may even
snag a cute little Poliwag!
Poliwhirl
Poliwhirl is looking for its lost tadpoles. Hopefully
you and Pikachu find five of them. =) Poliwhirl is waiting for
you to bring back five Poliwag to it in Olivine of the Daring
Days level. You can also snag Poliwhirl on your fishing line in
Olivine.
Abra
Abra is the owner of its own shop. It also takes the
mysterious egg Pikachu finds in Ochre of the Play Days level.
Abra can only be found in its shops waiting for Pikachu to come
by. Abra's shops are located in Springleaf (Play Days) and in
Ochre (Discovery Days). Pikachu can buy some very useful items at
Abra's shops.
Tentacool
You can only catch Tentacool on your fishing line.
Tentacool are fished out of the Cobalt Fishing Hole.
Tentacruel
Tentacruel are very, very rare. They are only found at
Cobalt Fishing Holes.
Slowpoke
Usually lounging about at Cobalt Coast and Cobalt
itself. At the fishing hole you'll hear it a lot, even at the
Pinata Party. Slowpoke can also be seen standing on a small
island with sunflowers on it at Cobalt.
Magnemite
Magnemite will deliver ingredients Pikachu finds to
Bulbasaur to cook in all the Ochre stages. Pieces of a Magnemite
can also be found scattered around Ochre, too.
Haunter
Haunter is easily seen flying around the Olivine Fishing
Hole. In Olivine of the Discovery Days level, Haunter pops out of
the mist and tries to give Pikachu a heart attack and to scare
off the Poliwag. Tell Pikachu if you hear or see Haunter and tell
it to use an electric attack to fend off the ghost.
Krabby
You can snag Krabby in all the fishing holes, and you
can especially find pretty big ones that are about 40-50 inches.
Kingler
You can only find Kingler at Cobalt Fishing Holes and
they're very rare indeed. It's pretty hard to catch one.
Horsea
This adorable Pokemon can only be caught at sea at the
Cobalt Fishing Hole. They can be pretty big with your luck.
Seadra
Seadra, like Horsea, can only be caught at Cobalt
Fishing Holes and is much rarer than Horseas, but a little more
common than Kingler and Tentacruel.
Goldeen
Goldeen can be found in even fishing hole in existance.
They're very common and their sizes are pretty small, from 2
inches to 20 inches or more.
Seaking
Seaking are also pretty common and are found at every
fishing hole. They're pretty big, too.
Staryu
Staryus are pretty rare. They're only found at Cobalt
Fishing Holes and according to the ones my sisters and I have
caught, none of them were that big.
Starmie
These are highly rare and chances of catching them
aren't very good. Starmies are only found at Cobalt Fishing Holes
and you'd be lucky if you caught one. These aren't very big
unless you have enough luck.
Magikarp
Magikarp are at all fishing holes. They are obviously
common, but their sizes can astonish you big time. Some can be at
least 60 inches!
Lapras
These beautiful Pokemon are too big to be snagged by a
little mouse. =) Lapras can be seen at Cobalt Coast and swimming
in the shallow waters of Cobalt Fishing Holes. You need Lapras to
get to Cobalt Island, and after you have visited the island and
returned to the coast, you can use Lapras to help Pikachu whack
the pinata apart.
Dratini
Probably the rarest of all Pokemon you can fish out of
the Ochre Fishing Hole, Dratini seem to be no where. Since
Christmas of 2001, my sisters and I have only snagged one, but we
never got the chance to reel it in. Dratini are pretty difficult
to pull in, but keep trying!
Togepi
To get Togepi to appear in some stages, you need to find
its egg, first. Its egg is located in Ochre of the Play Days
level in a big, easily visible cave. Get Pikachu to notice the
cave and it'll find the egg. Abra will appear and take the egg
away for a while. Let him take it. Go shop at Abra's Shop in
Springleaf of the Play Days level a lot until Togepi's egg
finally hatches. When I got Togepi, Pikachu bought a yellow
balloon and gave it to Togepi. Anyway, Togepi can be seen at
Cobalt Coast helping Pikachu hit the Pinata. Sometimes Togepi
will take the place of Poliwag in picnics at Ochre, too.
